Our Board-Certified Otolaryngologists
All our otolaryngologists are board-certified, which means that our ENT physicians have completed several years of post-graduate specialty training and have passed the American Board of Otolaryngology head & neck surgery examinations. They are committed to providing caring, thoughtful, comprehensive and compassionate care. Our doctors see patients in both our Danvers and Beverly locations except for doctors Garfinkle and Leidner who only see patients in Danvers.
David S. Chrzanowski, M.D., Facial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Chrzanowski has particular interest in aesthetic surgery of the face and neck, including minimally-invasive facelift surgery, eyelid rejuvenation (blepharoplasty), browlift, chin augmentation, and rhinoplasty. He performs non-surgical rejuvenation of the face and neck including Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse. Dr. Chrzanowski also performs facial skin cancer reconstructive surgery with a Mohs surgeon of the North Shore.
Dr. Chrzanowski is a board-certified Otolaryngologist with a specialty in facial plastic surgery. In addition to his board certification in head and neck surgery, Dr. Chrzanowski is a board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He works closely with each patient to develop an individualized plan of treatment. Whether you want facial plastic surgery, botox or wrinkle fillers, Dr. Chrzanowski is dedicated to helping his patients reach their full potential for restoration and rejuvenation.
Dr. Chrzanowski received his B.S. from Ursinus College in 1996 and his doctorate in medicine from the University of Virginia in 2000. He completed his general surgery internship from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 and went on to complete his head and neck surgery residency in 2005. Dr. Chrzanowski also completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship from Mittelman Plastic Surgery Center in Los Altos, California in 2006. He is certified in head and neck surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology and certified in Facial Plastic Surgery by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

James Demetroulakos, M.D.
Dr.
Demetroulakos has been practicing as a board-certified Otolaryngologist since 1990. He's been with North Shore ENT for 15 years and prior to North Shore ENT, Dr. Demetroulakos practiced for four years in the Air Force. Dr. Demetroulakos speaks both Greek and Spanish.
Dr. Demetroulakos completed the seven year medicine program at Brown University in 1985 with a doctorate in medicine. He completed his general surgery internship at Washington Hospital Center in 1986 and went on to complete his head and neck surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in 1990. Dr. Demetroulakos has completed teaching appointments at Harvard Medical School as clinical instructor of Otolaryngology and at Uniformed Services School of the Health Sciences as a clinical assistant professor. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as Head and Neck Surgery Fellow by the American College of Surgeons.
Terry J. Garfinkle, M.D., MBA

Dr. Garfinkle has been practicing otolaryngology at North Shore Ear, Nose and Throat Associates since 1982. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, National Board of Medical Examiners and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds a teaching appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Otology and Laryngology at Harvard Medical School and has also been on the pediatric faculty of Tufts Medical School.
Dr. Garfinkle received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973 and completed his Doctorate in Medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1977 where he became a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society. He completed his general surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and continued on to general surgical residency in 1979. Dr. Garfinkle completed his specialty residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. More recently he received his Masters in Business Administration from the George Washington University in 2008.
Dr. Garfinkle’s clinical interests include pediatric disorders of the ears, nose and throat as well as pediatric and adult otology (medical and surgical treatment of ear conditions).
Charles J. Leidner, M.D.
Dr. Leidner has been practicing otolaryngology on the North Shore since 1977. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Leidner is a graduate of Brooklyn College and the Chicago Medical School. His postdoctoral residency training in medicine, surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery took place at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York between 1970 and 1977, including two years on active duty in the United States Army Medical Corps.
Dr. Leidner’s teaching appointments include Clinical Instructor in Otology and Laryngology at Harvard Medical School, and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has previously been active at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and still maintains courtesy staff privileges. He has served as Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology at the North Shore Medical Center, and is a founding member and past president of the Massachusetts Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Leidner and his family reside in Swampscott.
Richard Mugge, M.D., FACS
Dr. Mugge has been practicing as board-certified Otolaryngologist since 1999. He has practiced Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery with North Shore ENT since 2001.
Dr. Mugge obtained a B.S. Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 and studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Akron from 1987-1989. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Cincinnati in 1994. Dr. Mugge completed a general surgery internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago / Cook County Hospital in 1995 and his head and neck surgery residency from at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1999. Dr. Mugge is a clinical instructor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School and is certified in Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
J. Bradley Turner, M.D.
Dr. Turner has been practicing at North Shore ENT since 2008. From 2003 - 2008, Dr. Turner participated in the University of Connecticut Otolaryngology Residency Program where he was exposed to all aspects of general Otolaryngology training in both academic and private hospitals in adult and pediatric settings. Dr. Turner has a special interest in pediatric ENT and laryngology/voice disturbances.
Dr. Turner obtained a B.A. in French Literature with a concentration in the pre-medicine program at the University of California, San Diego in 1995. He also studied at the University of Bordeaux in France and completed post-graduate studies in the Department of Biology at University of California, San Diego. Doctor Turner received his doctorate of medicine from Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in 2003 and he is certified in Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Doctor Turner is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish.
Jessica L. Postoian, Physician Assistant
Ms. Postoian is a certified Physician Assistant and has been with North Shore ENT since 2007. Ms. Postoian works as part of the Otolaryngology team to perform focused Otolaryngology exams, pre-operative physical exams, and post-operative assessments. She evaluates and manages various ENT conditions in the office, the emergency room, and inpatient consultations.
Prior to North Shore ENT, Ms. Postoian worked as a Physician Assistant at the Medical Group in Beverly, Massachusetts where she performed complete physical exams, acute care exams, and minor procedures in a multi-specialty primary care practice. Before becoming a PA, Ms. Postoian worked as a certified nursing assistant at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Ms. Postoian received a B.S. in Health Sciences from Western New England College in 2004 and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in 2006.
Angela J. Coton, Physician Assistant
Ms. Coton is a certified Physician Assistant and has been with North Shore ENT since January 2010. Ms. Coton works as part of the Otolaryngology team to perform focused Otolaryngology exams, pre-operative physical exams, and post-operative assessments. She evaluates and manages various adult and pediatric ENT conditions in the office including wax removal, nosebleeds, sinus issues, ear infections, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Angela believes patient education regarding their health is vital to the personalized care our patients deserve.
Ms. Coton received a B.A. in English and Anthropology from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana in 2000. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University in partnership with Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC in 2009.
